Michael Buble will take part in James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke Stand Up To Cancer Special'

The 'Haven't Met You Yet' hitmaker will make his debut on the singing segment, which sees celebrities sing along to songs with him while he drives them around Los Angeles, for Channel 4's charity telethon after his five-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Michael has always been a huge supporter of Stand Up To Cancer, so he is happy to help. It's all for a great cause and is sure to be an emotional journey."

The segment will also see Michael open up about Noah's battle with the disease and how it affected them as a family seeing him go through such intensive and painful treatment.

The 43-year-old singer cancelled all of his gigs and work commitments after the toddler's cancer diagnosis three years ago and he recently admitted that he was ready to quit music for good.

He said earlier this year: "I truly thought I would never go back [to music]. I was done. It just seemed completely unimportant compared to what was going on with Noah. Things got very clear for me, very quickly. I live with no fear now. I've been to hell."

However, he has been able to throw himself back into music since Noah went into remission.

He added: "Food never tasted so good, music never sounded so good, my relationship with my family, my faith ... all of it. My wife and I, we got happy, we fell in love again."

Michael - who also has son Elias, two, and newborn daughter Vida with his wife Luisana Lopilato - has admitted there was a time where he thought his son wouldn't make it.

He said: "He's perfect. Clinically speaking, it was a tumour within the liver. And the most important thing was to get it out, with clean margins. Because if you do, it goes from being this scary thing to just being tremendous odds. No one likes talking about percentages but, honestly, [we have] a percentage where we can live our life, and not live in fear every day. We know we're OK now. But what we went through was f***ing brutal."

'Stand Up To Cancer' will hit television screens later this year.
