An Educational Institute survey has foundsick primary teachers turning up to school is a widespread issue

Teachers are being sent home after coming to work sick, as they were worried the school wouldn't be able to find cover for them during the teacher shortage.

NZEI president Lynda Stuart says initial results of a primary principal survey shows 81 percent are finding it an issue.
