    Police have arrested a man in Huntly after a seven hour stand-off at his home


    The trouble started at around 2 this morning in Harris Street, with reports of a family harm incident.

    When police arrived, the man locked himself inside and refused to come out.

    He was threatening to harm himself for a time, but a negotiating team talked him out of the house at around nine am.
