The home side has run out 60-55 winners, claiming the series title in the process.
Aussie defender Courtney Bruce wreaked havoc on the Ferns, claiming a whopping seven intercepts.
Kiwi shooter Maria Folau says they can be proud, despite defeat.
Both sides had 64 attempts on goal, with Te Paea Selby Rickit and Folau missing a combined nine attempts.
