The New Zealand Rugby Players Association believes the international calendar is out-dated

Chief executive Rob Nichol says the winter internationals and November internationals exist from a time before professional rugby.
Nichol believes World Rugby vice-president Agustin Pichot's proposal for an annual 12-team tournament with four pools of three, culminating in a semi-final and final is the start of a conversation towards change.
He says the northern and southern hemisphere tours are currently just for show.
Nichol believes they have stayed on for commercial reasons, and Pichot wants to develop something with more meaning.
