24 September 2018
The owner of the 8-year-old boxer contacted the SPCA in March last year, to say their neighbour, Logan Bragg, had shot the dog while on his property.
They said the dog had walked through an open gate on to Bragg's property, and was shot in the head.
It returned home distressed, dragging a back leg and bleeding profusely, and had to be put down.
Bragg was found guilty of ill-treating an animal.
He was ordered to pay 221-dollars 50 towards costs, and pay the dog's family 500-dollars for emotional reparations.
