Atamarie Taylor's illness is thought to be linked to the family living in a cold, damp house, which pools into a lake.
A Middlemore Hospital intensive care specialist says it's the third time this winter the baby's needed hospital care for bronchiolitis - which is similar to bronchitis.
The family was given an eviction notice after they raised the issue with media, but that was cancelled.
The landlord's fixed the problems to the council's satisfaction.
