Melbourne Storm skipper Cameron Smith sees tonight's NRL grand final against the Sydney Roosters as a fitting end to the season

Melbourne Storm skipper Cameron Smith sees tonight's NRL grand final against the Sydney Roosters as a fitting end to the season

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Since the turn of the century both clubs have featured in the premiership decider a combined 13 times, with the Roosters claiming this season's minor premiership and Melbourne finishing second.

Cameron Smith says both clubs have seemingly dominated the post-season for a long time.

He says there was every likelihood that the two sides would meet and it's great for the game.

Kick off from Sydney's at 10:20pm with live commentary on Radio Sport.

The NRL will also pay tribute to the 18 retiring players pre-game, with Warriors' veteran Simon Mannering included.
