With Robbie Manson and Mahe Drysdale set to duel for the men's spot again over the next 12 months, Emma Twigg now has her sights set on the women's seat currently held by Hannah Osborne.
Twigg, who hasn't rowed at the highest level since the 2016 Olympics where she finished fourth, has been named in Rowing NZ's summer squad.
The 2014 champion knows it's going to be a challenge to get the seat back
She says she's got to prove she's th best single sculler and there's currently some real depth within the women's squad.
The squad assembles in two weeks.
