    The business lobby for the Auckland region hopes an offer from overseas to fund a key roading scheme will get a fair shake


    The unsolicited bid is to put up the money for Penlink...which would significantly reduce congestion by creating a link between Whangaparaoa Peninsula and Redvale.

    Auckland Business Chamber chief Michael Barnett says the Government could easily skip its tender process, with the effort that's gone into the project.

    He says it's not the only unsolicited bid currently sitting in the market.
