    New Zealand's sharemarket has tumbled in one of the biggest daily drops traders' have ever seen


    The local market took its lead from the US, after shares there fell by 3.2 percent , with the Australian ASX 200 down 2.74 percent.

    Every single stock on the benchmark S&P/NZX50 index bar one is in the red.

    The index itself fell 3.64 percent to 8721.2.
