    A section of State Highway One north of Auckland is still closed following a fatal crash


    One person died and another two suffered moderate injuries when a truck and two cars collided on State Highway 1 near Mahurangi West Road.

    Diversions are in place at Silverdale and Warkworth.

    Motorists are being asked to avoid the area, as it won't be reopened for some time.

    Earlier, a person died in a crash on Auckland's Albany Highway.
