A woman's no closer to knowing who may have taken a pricey statue from her Auckland property - even after she spotted a drone buzzing around the day before

Te Atatu Peninsula resident Tina Hart says her four and a half thousand dollar sculpture was nicked sometime on Tuesday night - the same day her house appeared to be scouted out by the flying machine.

Hart says it was a faceless invasion of her privacy, and the police didn't know how to help her.

She says the person flying it could have been a kilometre away.
