Taranaki's most important game of the year comes with no silverware attached
12 October 2018
The amber and blacks host Wellington tonight in the Mitre10 Cup, with a loss relegating them to the second-tier Championship next year.
Win and Taranaki will be relying on Canterbury to beat Counties Manukau on Saturday to guarantee safety.
Taranaki have won just two of nine games this season and head coach Willie Rickards says all they can do is prepare to perform.
He says they've acknowledged the fact it's some players' last game and the threat of relegation as it's important, while also working on how to get a win.
Kick off from New Plymouth's at 7:35pm with live commentary on Radio Sport.
