Police have charged two men, after one of them brandished a gun from a car while fleeing from officers in Hawke's Bay

Police tried to stop a Mitsubishi Diamante sedan in Maraenui on September 29, but it fled and a passenger in the back leaned out his window and pointed a gun at the pursuing officers.

The men, aged 24 and 25, are charged with possessing a firearm and presenting it at police.
