Napier police have nabbed a couple of burglars - before the victims realised their stuff had been stolen

A keen-eyed local called them about three this morning, saying two men in the suburb of Bluff Hill were looking into vehicles.

Police found the pair hiding behind a car, screwdrivers in hand.

Both were taken into custody and are due in court next week.

Police found a stash down the road, that included an electric bike, chainsaw, leaf blower and tools.
