Officers stopped a shabby-looking car on Flaxmere Avenue yesterday, believing it wouldn't meet the standard for a WoF.
After being stopped the 25 year old driver tried to throw a bag back into the car - which police found was full of cannabis and cash.
Police then searched the car, which turned up 97 bags of synthetic drugs.
Senior Sergeant Steve Nicoll says they're glad to have made the find - because the drugs could have caused significant harm in the community.
