Votes from midwives are expected to start flooding in on whether they'll accept DHBs' latest pay offer

The ballots have opened today for more than one-thousand-one hundred midwives directly employed by DHBs around the country.
But industry advisors are recommending they reject the offer.
Midwife employee representation and advisory services co-leader Jill Ovens says DHBs agreed to offer pay scales, without discussing it with the midwives involved, or their union.
She says DHBS are refusing to recognise midwives' skills and responsibilities.
