The Vector Lights show will chart the history of New Zealand's energy use - and our ongoing progress towards a net zero carbon future.
Vector's chief executive Simon McKenzie says research shows consumers are becoming more concerned over the impacts of climate change.
He says there were 15,000 submissions on the Government's Zero Carbon Bill consultation - and 90 per cent of those want a target of net zero emissions by 2050.
The light shows will run for eight minutes, every half an hour each night from 8 tonight until Sunday.
