Dallin Watene-Zelezniak may have missed one of his greatest moments on the rugby league field, had his wife been honest with him

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak may have missed one of his greatest moments on the rugby league field, had his wife been honest with him

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The Kiwis captain had his second child Indigo, four days after the side's surprise victory over Australia.

But Watene-Zelezniak says he would have flown back home to Penrith, had he known how his wife Purdy had been doing in the build up to the match.

He says she was having pains in the build-up but didn't want to tell him as she knew how important the game was to him.

After the game Purdy told him how she was, and he caught the next flight back.
