South Auckland police say someone will know the man who attacked an 84-year-old woman in her Manurewa home

Two men barged into the woman's home on Friday October 12, grabbing her handbag and knocking her over.

One used her cards to clean out the money in her accounts in Clendon, and dumped her handbag in a bin in Glen Innes.

Detective Sergeant David Honiss says the woman is traumatised and people need to do the right thing and turn the offender in.

A photo and CCTV footage are on the Counties Manukau Police Facebook Page.

He says the woman is traumatised but is recovering well.

Honiss says people are entitled to feel safe in their own home.
