The principal at Auckland's Mt Albert Grammar School says students will get a chance to say their final farewells next week
26 October 2018
Year 13 students took to social media to express their disappointment in the school cancelling their full day of classes - today - for fear of pranks.
They say they've been deprived of their opportunity to say goodbye to their friends and teachers.
But principal Patrick Drumm says today should be seen as an extra study day - and students will come back on Monday for prizegiving.
He says today is not a day off - it's a day for preparing for NCEA exams.
