Sam Gaze is glad to be back doing what he loves

Sam Gaze is glad to be back doing what he loves

The champion mountain-biker is currently competing in the Tour of Southland, in what's his first event since seriously injuring his wrist in August.

Gaze says it's good to be back, even if it's on the skinny tyres of a road bike.

Sam Gaze is currently third in the general classification standings, three stages into the Tour of Southland.

The 148 kilometre fourth stage from Invercargill to Bluff Hill starts at 10am.
