American pitcher Josh Collmenter sees himself as a mentor as much as he does a player for the Auckland Tuatara

American pitcher Josh Collmenter sees himself as a mentor as much as he does a player for the Auckland Tuatara

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The newest Australian Baseball League franchise head across the Tasman tomorrow for preseason games against Brisbane this weekend and Perth next.

Collmenter is a 32 year old veteran who has had MLB experience with the Atlanta Braves and Arizona Cardinals.

He says he's enjoying helping out some of the young Kiwis in the squad.

Collmenter says there are some good young kids and he wants to be a resource as much as a player

The Tuatara kick off their inaugural ABL season on the 23rd of November against Brisbane.
