    Development company YSB Group has been fined 100 thousand dollars by the Manukau District Court, after a man died when he fell from a mobility scooter that got tangled up on a damaged footpath


    The footpath was damaged by heavy vehicles during the development of a Papatoetoe housing site.

    WorkSafe says the circumstances are a reminder that workplaces have a responsibility for others interacting with a work site, as well as those completing work on it.

    Simon Humphries says other people potentially at risk from work activities include volunteers, customers, passers-by, visitors, or workers from another entity.
