    There'll be an increased police presence out and about in Christchurch today


    New Zealand Cup and Show week kicks off today - with 190-thousand guests expected in the city over the next five days.

    Canterbury road policing manager Ashley Tabb says people need to be patient and plan their travel, with more congestion on roads today.

    He says they're aiming for people to have a good time... and nothing ruins that more than a crash or someone being hurt because of anti-social behaviour.
