18-year-old Thomas Williamson was charged with intentional damage after two vehicles were seen shooting fireworks at each other while travelling towards West Melton last week.
Sparks caused a hedge to catch fire, which quickly spread - destroying a lawn mower and threatening a house.
Williamson could face reparations of almost 50 thousand dollars when he's sentenced next year in March.
in the meantime, he's assisting with the clean-up from the damage.
