Katherine Waterston revealed she is expecting a baby whilst at the ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ premiere on Tuesday (13.11.18)

The 38-year-old actress plays Porpentina ‘Tina’ Goldstein in the ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off franchise, and used the upcoming movie’s UK premiere to debut her sizeable baby bump in a gold dress with long sleeves that hugged her midsection

Katherine was interviewed on the red carpet by Alex Zane and Clara Amfo as part of the live coverage of the glitzy premiere - which was held at London’s iconic Leicester Square - but didn’t comment on her burgeoning bump.

The baby marks the first child for the star - who also played Tina in the 2016 movie ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them - but as of the time of writing, it is unknown who the father is.

Katherine can lean on her famous friends for advice as she heads into parenting, as she previously revealed that she was left feeling “inspired” after a meeting with iconic actress Sigourney Weaver.

The actress - who played Daniels in ‘Alien: Covenant’ - drew inspiration from her meeting with Sigourney when on the set of the sci-fi movie, as she followed in the footsteps of the iconic big screen hero Ripley.

Recalling a time Sigourney had praised her after watching her perform in a New York play, Katherine said: "Sigourney came to see it and said something like, 'You were good.' Nothing extraordinary. But when someone like her says that, you hang on to it for years. When I got this job, I thought immediately of that moment. I didn't know how I would play it or how I could get there, but that's always the most appealing thing to me. The insecurity is exciting. Maybe I'm also curious about testing my ability. Seeing if it's still there."
