Medsafe says it's still trying to attract pharmaceutical companies to make a packaged form of naloxone available here

Manager Chris James says it's working with potential manufacturers of a syringe kit pre-filled with naloxone.
He says once they get an application, they'll waive the fee and prioritise it.
Health Minister David Clark says companies might not have offered to supply the medicine in New Zealand because of commercial reasons - in essence they wouldn't make enough money from it.
