The first ever NZ Irish Festival is being celebrated in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.
It's timed to coincide with tomorrow's test in Dublin between the All Blacks and Ireland.
This morning there'll be a different sporting match - a men's invitation gaelic football game.
Festival director Gerry Paul says Wellington mayor Justin Lester and ex-All White Ben Sigmund will join a kiwi team to take on the Irish ex-pats.
Neither have played the game before, and they've been watching YouTube tutorials to learn the rules.
