Eight minutes into the second half Ireland moved the ball right from a lineout before switching play back left for wing Jacob Stockdale who re-gathered a chip kick to score the only try of the test.
After the match, Irish coach Joe Schmidt commented that he watched a lot of rugby and notes down plenty of moves, even mentioning the Highlanders.
All Blacks wing and Highlanders co-captain Ben Smith says the move that led to Stockdale's try is probably something the Southerners would commission.
He says he could see former coach Tony Brown pulling out something like that and it is disappointing that they didn't manage to shut it down, but they'll learn.
