There are renewed calls to do more for the safety of those on motorbikes

46 people have died in motorcycle crashes this year, including four from the last weekend alone.
Allan Kirk, CEO of the NZ motorcycle safety consultants says there should be funding for defensive driving courses for motorcyclists.
He says there are skills you can use to survive motorcycle crashes, and there is a way to crash which can reduce injuries.
Kirk says New Zealand's roads are not safe for motorcyclists.
