Four people were arrested in January after raids in Auckland uncovered two large methamphetamine labs, but the person believed to be the ringleader got away.
On Thursday, the National Organised Crime Group captured and arrested the man and three others in a West Auckland motel.
Raids in Penrose and Blockhouse Bay uncovered well over a kilogram of pure meth, a hundred thousand dollars cash, pistols, and a cut down rifle.
A further active laboratory has also been found.
Four people, aged between 19 and 41, have appeared in the Auckland District court on drug dealing and firearm-related charges.
