Students sitting NCEA exams in the South Island may be affected by the wild weather

NZQA spokesperson Aimie Hines says all scheduled exams in Southland and Otago are going ahead.
But she says if students are cut off by snow or flooding, they shouldn't worry - the derived grade process will make sure they get a fair mark.
Hines says student safety is paramount and families should check schools and roads are open before heading out.
