Trade Me continues to be open to rival offers - after a 2.5 billion dollar takeover offer yesterday.
The offer, from UK-based private equity company Apax Partners, is six dollars 40 a share and indicative and non-binding.
JMI Wealth director Andrew Kelleher says it'll be interesting to see if the offer is enough to shake-out other interest.
He says the company fits in well with Apax's other assets.
Kelleher says the appeal for them is the dominant position they have in New Zealand.
Apax presents its binding bid on December 12th.
