The kiwi golfer's endured a tough year, which saw him finish 61st on the money list, with the top 65 automatically staying on the tour.
Hendry says there were times during the course of the year where he felt he might not be able to get the job done.
He says he managed to pull his finger out over the last month or so and play okay and keeping a job was at the front of his mind anyway.
Michael Hendry will play in this week's Australian PGA Championship, before having a break.
