There are continued delays on State Highway 2 through the Karangahake Gorge, which is down to one lane

A large slip and rock fall closed the gorge last night, causing disruption to people travelling between Waihi and Paeroa.

One lane is open and there are stop/go signs operating, but there are delays.

NZTA says there is no time frame for when the road will reopen fully.
