Auckland-born hurler Kyle Glogoski is only allowed to pitch 25 innings in the Australian baseball league, a request from his MLB team the Philadelphia Phillies.
The talented teenager will return to the states after two more starts.
Auckland Tuatara manager Steve Mintz says they adhere to the instructions given them as it's how they get good players.
He says he'll throw for the next two weekends games then that will be it.
Mintz says he needs rest before the long season ahead and spring training for the Phillies.
The Tuatara host the Sydney Blue Sox in the first game of four this afternoon at Auckland's McLeod Park.
