A slow start to the traditional Christmas shopping season for New Zealand retailers

A slow start to the traditional Christmas shopping season for New Zealand retailers

Figures from Paymark show spending in the first week of December rose just one point two percent on the same period last year.

This year's Black Friday sales have prompted many to shop earlier than normal.

Others could be putting off Christmas shopping because of Christmas falling on a Tuesday.
