    Police have named the homicide victim who died in Christchurch Hospital on the weekend

    Police have named the homicide victim who died in Christchurch Hospital on the weekend


    He was 25-year-old Shayne George Heappey.

    Heappey died of his injuries after he was dropped off at the hospital about 11pm on Saturday.

    Police and forensic specialists have conducted an examination of the vehicle believed to have dropped him off.

    They say a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow as the next step in their investigation.
