People need to be wary of what they post on social media, as public emotions heighten around the Grace Millane case

People need to be wary of what they post on social media, as public emotions heighten around the Grace Millane case

While the 26-year-old man charged with her murder has legal anonymity in New Zealand for now - it hasn't stopped international media from naming him.

Justice Minister Andrew Little says anyone here who discloses that information online, is committing an offence.

He says these rules are in place for a reason, and while people want to know names the rules at the moment are that he has name suppression, and he's entitled to it.

The murder accused is due back in court on January the 23rd.
