Auckland Council's voting on its annual budget today, which includes millions for the homeless, and a billion on transport

If council members agree with the Mayor's plan, five million dollars will go towards the City Mission's Home Ground project.
There's also a record transport investment of 1.2 billion dollars - going towards road safety, electric trains, and a redevelopment of the Downtown ferry terminal.
Around 150 million of that transport budget will come from the regional fuel tax.
