The front left and rear left wheels of Tauranga Salvation Army's community van were stripped from the vehicle overnight.
Business manager Bill Morris said he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the van in the Salvation Army carpark this morning.
He says the van was supposed to be out delivering Christmas gifts and food to people in need today.
In recent weeks, the Salvation Army has also had replace wing mirrors on the vehicle after they were smashed off.
Bill Morris says it's the time of year when you see the best - and worst - of people.
