An engineering business is asking its workers to complete a 'risk assessment' if they want to use electric scooters

Engineering and Management consultancy business Beca is looking at employees' use of the devices for transport during work hours.

There have been over 400 public insurance claims for injuries caused by e-scooters since US-based company Lime launched here in October.

According to figures on public injuries provided by ACC, an average of six people injured themselves using Lime scooters every day.
