Canterbury police say the community's had enough of unnecessary and thoughtless boy racer behaviour

There's been a weekend-long event that saw hundreds of racers driving around Christchurch suburbs doing burnouts and skids.
Organisers used secret social media groups to post new locations and evade police.
Police issued 177 traffic tickets and charges are expected to be laid.
Superintendent Lane Todd says the behaviour was disappointing.
He says residents and visitors have expressed concern and have had enough.
