Auckland and Wellington Airport's are bracing for their busiest day of international travel of the year.
43-thousand international passengers will pass through Auckland Airport, four-and-a-half thousand through Wellington.
Wellington Airport spokesman Greg Thomas says passengers can make their trip smoother by checking-in online, planning travel to and from the airport in advance, and packing bags carefully.
He says the good news is there are no longer departure cards to fill out.
