    Richie Stanaway would rather have been out of a job than carry on with Tickford Racing


    The Kiwi Supercars driver split with the team last month after a frustrating season that saw him finish last.

    Stanaway says he was the fourth driver on a team, received few favours and wanted out.

    He says he would have rather not had a fulltime drive than spend another year with Tickford.

    Stanaway has signed with Garry Rogers Motorsport this season.
