The Napier ground has been unused for cricket for the past two years, after a poor surface needed to be upgraded.
Before it's upgrade McLean Park was a known batsman's paradise with scores of 300 the normal in one-day internationals.
The Central Stags will face the Otago Volts in a domestic Twenty20 this evening, and local bowler Blair Tickner believes the runs could be even more prolific than in the past.
The first ball will be bowled at 7.10pm.
