Women's Black Sticks captain Stacey Michelsen is saddened by the departure of coach Mark Hager

Women's Black Sticks captain Stacey Michelsen is saddened by the departure of coach Mark Hager

After ten years, a medal of every colour at the Commonwealth Games and a world ranking as high as third, Hager has resigned to take up a role with the England and Great Britain sides.

Hager's alleged negative environment is currently part of an ongoing independent review.

Michelsen says Hager's hard approach has brought their side unprecedented success.

He says he's been a hugely influential person and it's sad to no longer have him there to carry them forward.
