    Two rescue helicopters were sent to Warkworth, north of Auckland, following a serious crash this afternoon


    A car and a campervan collided on the corner of Sandspit and Sharp Roads around 2 o'clock.

    Auckland's Westpac 2 chopper and the Northland Emergency Services Trust chopper were both deployed.

    One person had critical injuries, and four others: moderate injuries.

    One person had been trapped inside the campervan, which ended up on its side in a ditch.
